"Ballroom Dancing Comes Alive for Wilson Commencement Park’s Early Learning Center"
All family, friends and neighbors are invited to a special children’s ballroom dance recital performing for Mayor Robert Duffy and his staff on Friday, October 31, 2008, in the Atrium at City Hall, 30 Church Street, Rochester, NY 14614, at 11:15 am. This event is made possible and funded by the Arts and Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the New York State Legislature.
Our project taught our 7 to 12 year-old after school day care program children, and children from the community, about Ballroom and Latin Social dancing, as well as how to interact with their peers and adults in positive and productive ways. Our measurable objective will be to have the children demonstrate at the end of the program their skills for Mayor Robert Duffy in support of his interest in youth development and programming.

The Early Learning Center at Wilson Commencement Park is one of the first early childhood programs to earn re-accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.
