"Like a tree planted by the rivers of water, I shall not be moved," aptly describes the tenacity, commitment and determination of Ellen H. Stubbs.
She was selected as the 2008 G. Jean Howard Snowflake Award recipient for her being a good friend and staunch supporter of the Park's goals and ideals since its conceptual stage.
She helped select the Park's first and second ececutive directors, was a charter member of the Board of Directors, has provided workshops, has mentored residents and continues her legacy by serving on the WCP Advisory Board.
She still visits the park regularly, and came to watch the Destiny ground breaking and ribbon cutting. It becomes crystal clear why Ellen has become "Our Great Ms. Stubbs."
