Rodric Cox-Cooper, Chief Executive Officer
Rodric Cox-Cooper has over 16 years of leadership experience. He served for 12 years in the administration of former Rochester, NY Mayor William A. Johnson, Jr. in various management capacities. He then joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor for 3 years, before being selected to lead WCP in February 2009. His areas of expertise include: operations, program, and financial management, community collaboration, motivation, and team building.
He was recognized in 2000 as one of the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award recipients, and was the recipient of the 2003 Dr. Samuel McCree Jr. Award, for his efforts to improve the quality of life in Rochester. He has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and committees during his career, and is a graduate of premier leadership programs, including the United Way / African-American Leadership Development Program, and Leadership Rochester.
Rodric holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and an M.S. in Administration degree from Central Michigan University.
Wanda Acevedo, Director of Programs
Wanda Acevedo has over 13 years of experience in the human service field. She worked for the Via Health and Westside Health
Services early in her career. In 2003, she joined the ranks of management at Puerto Rican Youth Development (PRYD) as a
Program Manager. She then managed a homeless shelter for women and children for Catholic Family Center, where she was
responsible for daily operations, 24-hour staffing, facilities, and security. She is a 2002 graduate of the United Way / Latino Leadership Development Program.
She joined WCP in August 2008 as the Housing Coordinator, and was promoted to Director of Programs in March 2009. Wanda is the first former resident of WCP to become a Director at the organization.
Kathleen Massimilian, Director of Development and Foundation Giving
Kathleen Massimilian learned the basics of Institutional Advancement and the importance of building relationships while working nine years for her alma mater,
Sean Tracy-Hamilton, Director of Early Learning Center
Since 2004, Sean Tracy-Hamilton has provided innovation and transformational leadership at Wilson Commencement Park (WCP). A graduate of Syracuse University, she also holds a Masters Degree of Science in Information Design and Technology from SUNY IT. Sean is currently attending Roberts Wesleyan College’s Masters of Strategic Leadership Program, and is scheduled to graduate in the fall of 2009.
Previously, she has served as the Interim Executive Director at WCP, and has more than 13 years of providing leadership at various non-profit programs. She provides consulting services for ThinkSmart Academy, Forum for Youth, and the Children’s Institute, and has served as the co-chair for the Early Childhood Education Quality Council (ECEQC). She provides Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential training for community members and daycare centers in the Rochester area, and is a SUNY Health and Safety Certified Trainer.
